Gavin O'Connor to Direct Jude Law in Dexterity

Gavin O'Connor is to direct Jude Law in Paramount's Dexterity.Karen Croner wrote the adaptation of the Douglas Bauer novel, a story of a young couple set against the fortunes of a factory town in upstate New York after the husband is laid off.Law is cast as Ed King, a blue-collar laborer who falls for a factory co-worker, and then struggles when the factory closes down and decimates the town. In the book he is actually left by his wife who is seeking to escape the bleak existance of the town, he then falls into despair.She is also missing a hand which she loses in a facdtory accident, thus the title of the book.Source: Variety
