Antje Traue to be villainess in Superman

German actress Antje Traue will play the villainess Faora in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' Superman reboot "Man of Steel", opposite Henry Cavill as Superman.
According to Variety, the cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent.
The character of Faora is an aide of the villain General Zod.
Zack Snyder ("300," "Watchmen," "Sucker Punch") is directing with shooting set to begin this summer in Chicago.
The film is set for a December 2012 release before Warners could potentially lose the copyright on the character in 2013.
Christopher Nolan will produce with wife Emma Thomas, as well as Charles Roven ("The Dark Knight") and Deborah Snyder ("Watchmen," "Sucker Punch").
David S. Goyer ("Batman Begins") wrote the script, based on a story he conceived with Nolan.
Plot details are being kept under wraps.
Traue was last seen opposite Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster in the 2009 sci-fi thriller "Pandorum."
