Jason Statham close to 'Parker'

Jason Statham is in talks to star in Sierra/Affinity, Incentive Filmed Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment's thriller "Parker."
According to Variety, Taylor Hackford is directing from a script by John J. McLaughlin.
Hackford is producing along with Steven Chasman, Les Alexander, Sidney Kimmel and Jonathan Mitchell.
Based on Donald E. Westlake's popular book series, "Parker" focuses on an honorable thief who, despite having to be a killer at times, refuses to steal from those in need and will fight back mercilessly if double crossed.
Statham was most recently in "The Mechanic" and "The Expendables." Hackford last directed "Love Ranch," with Helen Mirren and Joe Pesci.
