'The Darkest Hour' release date pushed back

Summit Entertainment has pushed back the release date of their 3D sci-fi thriller "The Darkest Hour" from August 5 to December 23, 2011.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast includes Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby, Max Minghella, Rachael Taylor and Joel Kinnaman.
Chris Gorak directed from a screenplay by Jon Spaihts, based on a script by Leslie Bohem and M.T. Ahern. Tom Jacobson and Timur Bekmambetov produced.
The film focuses on five people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive after an alien attack.
"Hour" is the first American 3D production to film in such Russian locations as Red Square and the Lenin Library and Square.
