'Hop' bounces to top of box office

Universal and Illumination Entertainment's live action-cartoon "Hop" won the domestic box office over the weekend as it debuted with an impressive $38.1 million.
According to Variety, the film had the highest domestic opening of the year narrowly beating Paramount's "Rango," which opened to $38 million.
Summit's "Source Code" opened in the No. 2 spot with $15 million.
FilmDistrict's "Insidious" debuted in the No. 3 spot with $13.5 million.
20th Century Fox's "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" placed No. 4 for the weekend with $10.2 million for a domestic cumulative of $38.4 million.
Relativity Media's "Limitless" finished in the No. 5 spot with $9.4 million for a domestic cumulative of $55.6 million.
