'Wimpy Kid' flexes muscles at box office

20th Century Fox's sequel "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" won the domestic box office over the weekend as it debuted with $24.4 million.
According to Variety, the film surprisingly beat out Warner Bros.' "Sucker Punch," which opened in the No. 2 spot with $19 million.
Relativity Media's "Limitless" finished in the No. 3 spot with $15 million for a domestic cumulative of $41.3 million.
Lionsgate's "The Lincoln Lawyer" placed No. 4 for the weekend with $11 million for a domestic cumulative of $29 million.
Paramount's cartoon "Rango" came in No. 5 for the weekend with $9.8 million for a domestic cumulative of $106.4 million.
