'Jack the Giant Killer' to slay audiences in summer 2012

Warner Bros. has set a release date of June 15, 2012, for New Line and Legendary Pictures' retelling of "Jack and the Beanstalk" titled "Jack the Giant Killer."
According to Variety, Bryan Singer is directing.
The cast includes Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy, John Kassir and Ian McShane.
Christopher McQuarrie, Mark Bomback and Darren Lemke worked on the screenplay.
Neal Moritz and David Dobkin are producing.
The film centers on the kidnapping of a princess (Tomlinson), which threatens the long-standing peace between men and giants. A young farmer (Hoult) is forced to lead a rescue mission to the giants' kingdom.
