Shia LaBeouf sprouts 'Horns'

Shia LaBeouf is attached to star in Mandalay Pictures' adaptation of Joe Hill's bestselling romantic horror novel "Horns."
According to Variety, playwright Keith Bunin ("In Treatment") will adapt the screenplay.
No director has been set yet.
The story revolves around Ig Perrish (LaBeouf), a 26-year-old who awakens from a black-out hangover to find horns growing from his head. As his horns increase in size, Ig investigates the unsolved murder of his girlfriend and how it connects to his current plight.
Peter Guber and Cathy Schulman will produce for Mandalay.
Hill, the son of Stephen King, will executive produce.
LaBeouf stars in the upcoming "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," which Paramount opens July 1.
