Marshall-Green gears up for 'Prometheus'

Logan Marshall-Green has signed on to Ridley Scott's sci-fi thriller "Prometheus" for 20th Century Fox.
According to Variety, the cast includes Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron and Noomi Rapace.
Damon Lindelof is rewriting a script originally written by Jon Spaihts from an idea by Scott.
Scott, his brother Tony, David Giler and Walter Hill are producing.
The film had long been rumored to be an "Alien" prequel before Fox called it "Prometheus."
Plot details are being kept under wraps but Scott said in an earlier statement that the film will contain "strands of Alien's DNA."
Marshall-Green will play the the love interest for Noomi Rapace's character.
Shooting begins in the spring.
Fox has set a June 8, 2012, release date.
Marshall-Green was in TNT's cop show "Dark Blue" and also appeared in the film "Brooklyn's Finest."
