Wagner Moura joins Blomkamp's 'Elysium'

Brazilian actor Wagner Moura has joined the cast of Neill Blomkamp's sci-fi thriller "Elysium."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley and Jodie Foster are starring in the film.
Blomkamp will direct from his own script.
Sony has picked up distribution rights for the film.
Shooting is set to begin in July with a March 8, 2013, release date set.
Bill Block and Simon Kinberg will produce.
Plot details are scarce other than the film is set in a future world where social class determines one's fate.
Moura, who will play the villain, caught Hollywood's eye playing Captain Nascimento in the "Elite Squad" movies, directed by Jose Padilha.
Blomkamp made his feature directorial debut on the 2009 sci-fi hit "District 9."
