Jeffrey Donovan has joined the cast of Warner Bros.' J. Edgar Hoover biopic "J. Edgar."

Shooting is underway in Los Angeles.
The cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio as Hoover alongside Naomi Watts, Ed Westwick, Damon Herriman, Armie Hammer, Josh Lucas, Ken Howard and Stephen Root.
Hoover was appointed director of the Bureau of Investigation in 1924 and later was the head of the FBI when it was founded 11 years later.

Kennedy was the U.S. Attorney General under his brother John F. Kennedy. Hoover personally conducted the FBI's investigation into J.F.K.'s 1963 assassination.
Brian Grazer and Ron Howard are producing through Imagine Entertainment along with Eastwood and Rob Lorenz through their Warner-based Malpaso production shingle.
Donovan is best known for his work on the USA Network show "Burn Notice."
He worked with Eastwood on 2008's "The Changeling."
