Weinsteins venture into 'Undercover'

The Weinstein Company has purchased the U.S. distribution rights to the Miley Cyrus-action comedy "So Undercover."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast includes Kelly Osbourne, Josh Bowman, Matthew Settle, Jeremy Piven and Mike O'Malley.
Tom Vaughan directed from a script by Allan Loeb and Steven Pearl.
The film centers on a private investigator (Cyrus) hired by the FBI to go undercover in a college sorority.
Guy East and Nigel Sinclair's Exclusive Media Group produced along with Loeb and Pearl through their Scarlett Fire Entertainment. Tish Cyrus also produced.
Jodi Zuckerman-Weiner and Rob Cowan executive produced.
The film will be released in October.
