Los Angeles - Indian director M Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender was the big winner at Saturday night's Razzie Awards that recognize the worst films of the year.
The sci-fi fantasy picked up five Golden Raspberry trophies for worst picture, worst director, worst screenplay, worst supporting actor, and the first ever Razzie awarded for the 'worst eye-gouging misuse of 3-D.'
Traditionally awarded just a day before the Oscar trophies are handed out, the Razzies received a rare honour last year when Sandra Bullock showed up to accept her worst actress award in person.
But there was no appearance this year from Shyamalan, or from his main competitors on the night, the cast and crew of Sex and the City 2. The film won the worst actress award for all four of its stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, as well as worst sequel and worst screen ensemble.
Other notable winners included Ashton Kutcher, who won the worst actor award for his role in Killers and Valentine's Day, and Jackson Roathbone, who won the supporting actor prize for Airbender and Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
The supporting actress award went to Jessica Alba for four films - The Killer Inside Me, Little Fockers, Machete and Valentine's Day.
