Steve Carell going to the 'Dogs'

Steve Carell will star in Mandate Pictures' comedy "Dogs of Babel."
According to Variety, Carell, David Heyman, Corey May and Dooma Wendschuh are producing through Carell's Carousel Productions, Heyman's Heyday Films and Wendschuh's Sekretagent Productions.
Jamie Linden will write the script.
Mandate is still looking for a director and no shooting date has been set.
The film follows a linguistics professor (Carell) who questions the police ruling that his wife's death was an accident. He proceeds to teach the only witness to her death, his dog, how to talk.
Carell was last seen in "Dinner for Schmucks" and provided his voice to "Despicable Me."
