By Adnan Tezer Jan 26, 2011, 21:06 GMT
Emile Hirsch will star in the adaptation of Willy Vlautin's novel "The Motel Life."
According to Variety, Alan and Gabriel Polsky ("Bad Lieutenant: Port of New Orleans") are producing through their Polsky Films.
There is no director or screenwriter attached yet, though the Polskys could take on both duties.
The film centers on two brothers who flee their Reno motel room after getting mixed up in a deadly hit-and-run accident.
Shooting is expected to begin later this year.
Hirsch recently wrapped William Friedkin's "Killer Joe," opposite Matthew McConaughey.
His other credits include "Speed Racer," "Into the Wild," "Milk" and "Taking Woodstock."
