Jon Bon Jovi to be rocking on 'New Year's'

Jon Bon Jovi has joined the cast of New Line's ensemble romantic comedy "New Year's Eve."
According to Variety, the film will be a spinoff of Garry Marshall's "Valentine's Day."
Marshall will return to direct, along with producers Mike Karz and Wayne Rice, and screenwriter Katherine Fugate.
The film will be set in New York and follow the intertwining romantic stories of several characters on New Year's Eve.
The cast includes Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Til Schweiger, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Biel, Abigail Breslin, Halle Berry, Zac Efron and Sienna Miller.
Biel and Kutcher were in "Valentine's Day," but those characters won't be part of "New Year's Eve."
New Line will release the film on December 9, 2011.
Bon Jovi's screen credits include "U-571" and "Pay It Forward."
