Twilight shines at Razzie nominations

Los Angeles - The Twilight Saga: Eclipse scored nine nominations Monday for the Razzie awards, the anti-Oscars that recognize the worst films of the year.

The vampire tale has some serious competition in its quest for Golden Raspberry glory however. Also earning nine nominations was M Knight Shyamalan's action fantasy The Last Airbender, which will compete with Eclipse for worst picture of the year. Completing the nominees in that category are Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler's The Bounty Hunter, Sarah Jessica Parker's Sex and the City 2, and the Twilight parody Vampires Suck.

The worst actor category features Twilight's Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson, along with Jack Black (Gulliver's Travels), Ashton Kutcher (Killers and Valentine's Day) and Butler (The Bounty Hunter).

Vying for the worst actress award are Aniston (The Bounty Hunter and The Switch), Miley Cyrus (The Last Song), the four lead actresses of Sex and the City 2, Megan Fox (Jonah Hex) and Kristen Stewart (Twilight).

An interesting battle will take place in the worst supporting actress category, in which Hollywood legends Cher, Liza Minnelli and Barbra Streisand were all nominated.

The worst director nominees were Sylvester Stallone (The Expendables), Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer (Vampires Suck), Michael Patrick King (Sex & The City 2), M Night Shyamalan (The Last Airbender) and David Slade (Twilight Saga: Eclipse).

The nominations were announced Monday morning, a day before the Oscar nominations will be revealed. The Razzies will be handed out on February 24, a day before the Oscars.

Last year Sandra Bullock was the first person to win a Razzie and an Oscar on the same weekend, earning a best actress Oscar for The Blind Side and a worst actress Razzie for All About Steve. To her credit she accepted both awards in person.
