Birch and Lahti join 'Petunia'

Thora Birch and Christine Lahti have joined the cast of the independent drama "Petunia."
According to Variety, the cast includes Michael Urie, Brittany Snow, David Rasche and Tobias Segal.
Ash Christian ("Fat Girls") is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Theresa Bennett.
Jordan Yale Levine, Birch and Christian are producing with shooting beginning this week in New York City.
The film focuses on three brothers of a New York family coming to terms with their lives and demons.
Birch is best known for her role in the Oscar-winning film "American Beauty."
Lahti was recently on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
