Mark Duplass has joined the cast of the DreamWorks drama "Welcome to People."
According to Variety, the cast includes Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde and Michelle Pfeiffer.
The film will mark the directorial debut of "Star Trek" and "Transformers" co-screenwriter Alex Kurtzman.
Kurtzman wrote the screenplay with his writing partner Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert.
Kurtzman and Orci are producing through their Paper Products production shingle, along with Bobby Cohen.
The story follows a man (Pine) who must deliver $150,000 in cash to an alcoholic sister (Banks) he didn't know he had until the death of their father. He also becomes involved in the life of her angry 12-year-old son.
Duplass wrote and directed the upcoming "Jeff Who Lives at Home," which Paramount will release later this year.
