Olivia Wilde has joined the cast of the DreamWorks' drama "Welcome to People," opposite Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will mark the directorial debut of "Star Trek" and "Transformers" co-screenwriter Alex Kurtzman.
Kurtzman wrote the screenplay with his writing partner Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert.
Kurtzman and Orci are producing through their Paper Products company, along with Bobby Cohen.
The story follows a man (Pine) who must deliver $150,000 in cash to an alcoholic sister (Banks) he didn't know he had until the death of their father. He also becomes involved in the life of her angry 12-year-old son.
Wilde will play Pine's girlfriend.
Production is scheduled to begin in L.A. this month.
Wilde can be currently seen in "Tron: Legacy." She will next star in DreamWorks' sci-fi actioner "Cowboys & Aliens" in July.
