Clooney knows his center of 'Gravity'

George Clooney will replace Robert Downey Jr. in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' 3D space thriller "Gravity," opposite Sandra Bullock.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alfonso Cuaron is directing from a script he co-wrote with his son, Jonas.
David Heyman is producing through his Heyday Films along with Legendary Pictures.
The film revolves around two astronauts (Bullock and Clooney) fighting to survive on a remote space station after satellite debris wipes out the rest of their crew and destroys most of the station.
Downey had been attached to the project throughout a torturous eight month casting process for the female lead that saw Angelina Jolie, Marion Cotillard, Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively and Natalie Portman attached to the role before Bullock committed in November.
Downey left the project shortly before Bullock came on.
Shooting is expected to begin in the spring after Clooney finishes directing and starring in the political drama "The Ides of March," an adaptation of the Broadway play "Farragut North."
