'Narnia' wins weekend box office

20th Century Fox's "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" won the domestic box office over its opening weekend with $24.5 million.
According to Variety, the film had a much stronger showing overseas as it debuted with $81 million. The film's worldwide total currently stands at $105.5 million.
Sony's "The Tourist" debuted in the No. 2 spot with $17 million.
Disney's "Tangled" came in at No. 3 with $14.6 million for a domestic cumulative of $115.6 million.
Warner Bros.' "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" came in at No. 4 with $8.5 million for a domestic cumulative of $257.7 million.
Fox's "Unstoppable" placed No. 5 with $3.8 million for a domestic cumulative of $74.3 million.
