Wahlberg to star in and produce feature version of short film 'The Raven'

Universal has purchased the rights to Ricardo De Montreuil's highly acclaimed short film "The Raven," with Mark Wahlberg producing and starring in.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wahlberg will produce with Steve Levinson.
Justin Marks will write the script.
The film centers on a young man with extraordinary powers being pursued around downtown Los Angeles by police robots, with a giant police ship controlling everything from the skies above.
Nick Osborne, Trevor Engelson and Oly Obst of Underground Films will executive produce.
The film should not be confused with FilmNation and Intrepid Pictures' "The Raven;" an adaptation of the Edgar Allan Poe poem starring John Cusack, Luke Evans and Alice Eve.
Wahlberg is generating serious Oscar consideration for his role in "The Fighter," opposite Christian Bale.
