Image befriends Swank's 'Resident'

Image Entertainment has purchased all U.S. rights to the Hilary Swank-starrer "The Resident" from Exclusive Media Group's Hammer Films.
According to Variety, the film will be released next spring.
Antti Jokinen directed the film, which also stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Christopher Lee and Lee Pace.
The film focuses on a beautiful young doctor (Swank) who starts a new life in Brooklyn after breaking up with her husband. Mysterious occurrences lead her to believe that her new home might be haunted.
The two-time Academy Award winner Swank is currently starring in the Tony Goldwyn-directed drama "Conviction," opposite Sam Rockwell, Minnie Driver, Melissa Leo and Juliette Lewis.
