Carell likes to 'Imagine'

Steve Carell will star in the Warner Bros. comedy "Imagine."
According to Variety, Carell is producing through his Warner-based Carousel Productions along with Denise Di Novi. Carousel's Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock are executive producing along with Jessie Nelson.
Dan Fogelman, who also wrote the script, will make his directorial debut on the film.
The story centers on an aging rocker who, after discovering a letter written to him by John Lennon, decides to track down his biological son, whom he's never met.
Carell will play the rocker's son.
He was recently seen in "Date Night," "Dinner for Schmucks," voiced "Despicable Me" and will be seen in Warner's upcoming comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love" in 2011.
