Sony loves 'Christmas'

James McAvoy, Hugh Laurie, Jim Broadbent, Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton and Ashley Jensen will lend their voices to Sony Pictures Animation's 3D CG-animated film "Arthur Christmas."
According to Variety, Sarah Smith and Barry Cook are directing from a screenplay Smith co-wrote with Peter Baynham.
Steve Pegram is producing with Carla Shelley executive producing along with Aardman's Peter Lord and David Sproxton.
Taking place on Christmas night, the cartoon will center on Santa Claus' son Arthur (McAvoy), who helps save Christmas.
Broadbent will voice Santa and Laurie will voice Arthur's older brother Steve.
Sony has set a November 23, 2011, release date.
