'Saw 3D' cuts into weekend box office

Lionsgate's seventh and final "Saw" film, "Saw 3D," debuted at the top of the domestic box office over the Halloween weekend with $24.2 million.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the previous six "Saw" films have grossed $763 million worldwide.
Paramount's "Paranormal Activity 2" came in at No. 2 with $16.5 million for a domestic cumulative of $65.7 million.
Summit's "Red" claimed the No. 3 spot with $10.8 million for a domestic cumulative of $59 million.
Paramount's "Jackass 3D" finished No. 4 with $8.4 million for a domestic cumulative of $101.6 million.
Clint Eastwood's "Hereafter," from Warner Bros., placed No. 5 with $6.3 million for a domestic cumulative of $22.2 million.
