Lionsgate goes with 'LOL'

Lionsgate has picked up U.S. distribution rights to "LOL," Mandate's English-language remake of the 2008 French comedy "LOL: Laughing Out Loud."
According to Variety, no release date has been set yet.
Liza Azuelos, who directed the 2008 original, is directing the remake from her own script.
The cast includes Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore, Ashley Greene, Thomas Jane, Ashley Hinshaw, Lina Esco, George Finn, Marlo Thomas, Fisher Stevens, Nora Dunn, Adam Sevani, Jay Hernandez, Austin Nichols and Douglas Booth.
The story centers on a teenage girl (Cyrus) who is dumped by her older boyfriend (Finn) while her divorced mother (Moore) struggles to move on with her life.
Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Double Feature Films are producing with Tish Cyrus.
