J.J. Abrams' 'Super 8' to be unveiled next June

Paramount Pictures has set a June 10, 2011, release date for J.J. Abrams' sci-fi film "Super 8."
According to Variety, Abrams wrote the screenplay and is producing along with his Bad Robot partner Bryan Burk and Steven Spielberg.
The cast includes Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee and Zach Mills.
Shooting is underway in West Virginia.
Paramount has been keeping the plot details under wraps.
All that is known about the film is that it will take place in 1979 and be an homage to Spielberg's '70s and '80s science fiction films such as "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial."
