Sony has an 'Emergency' for Downey Jr.

Columbia Pictures has purchased the rights to Neil Strauss' nonfiction book "Emergency!: This Book Will Save Your Life" as a possible starring role for Robert Downey Jr.
According to Variety, Downey Jr. will produce along with Susan Downey and Michael De Luca.
Allan Loeb ("Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps") will write the script.
The book tells the motivational story of one man's journey to survive and protect his loved ones by learning to survive in the wild.
Strauss' previous books include "The Game," "The Long Hard Road Out of Hell With Marilyn Manson" and "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star With Jenna Jameson."
Downey Jr. can next be seen in Warner Bros.' "Due Date," which opens November 5.
