Krumholtz to board 'Mr. Popper'

David Krumholtz has joined the cast of the Fox family comedy "Mr. Popper's Penguins."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he joins a cast that includes Jim Carrey, Carla Gugino, James Tupper and Clark Gregg.
Mark Waters is directing the film, which will be a modern update of the 1938 children's book by Richard and Florence Atwater. Sean Anders, John Morris and Nick Stoller wrote the adaptation.
John Davis is producing through his Davis Entertainment.
In the film, Mr. Popper (Carrey) is a high-powered, New York business man who suddenly inherits six penguins and must deal with the difficulties, at home and at work, of taking care of the animals.
Shooting is underway in New York with an August 12 release date set.
Krumholtz is best known for his work on the CBS show "Numb3rs."
