Lea Seydoux is 'M:I-4' female villain

Lea Seydoux has joined the cast of Paramount's "Mission: Impossible 4" as the lead female villain.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, she joins a cast that includes Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Vladimir Mashkov, Michael Nyqvist and Josh Holloway.
Seydoux will pair up with Nyqvist, who portrays the lead male villain.
Brad Bird is directing.
J.J. Abrams is producing with Cruise and Paula Wagner, and worked on the story with André Nemec and Josh Appelbaum, who wrote the screenplay.
Plot details are being kept under wraps. Shooting is underway in Europe.
Seydoux has appeared in Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood" and Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds." She recently wrapped Woody Allen's "Midnight In Paris."
