Thomas Haden Church joins 'Killer Joe'

Thomas Haden Church has joined the cast of the dark comedy "Killer Joe."
According to Variety, William Friedkin is directing a cast that includes Matthew McConaughey and Emile Hirsch.
Shooting will begin November 8 in New Orleans.
Scott Einbinder of ANA Media and Voltage Pictures' Nicolas Chartier are producing.
Tracy Letts is writing the script based on his play.
The story centers on a drug dealer (Hirsch) who has his drug stash stolen by his mother and must come up with $6,000. He turns to the titular "Killer Joe," played by McConaughey, to kill his mother when he finds out that her life insurance policy is worth $50,000.
Church can be currently seen in Sony's "Easy A."
