Bledel joins 'Violet and Daisy'

Alexis Bledel has joined the cast of Geoffrey Fletcher's "Violet and Daisy."
According to Variety, Saoirse Ronan and James Gandolfini are starring in the film.
Fletcher, who won the adapted screenplay Oscar for "Precious," will be making his directing debut on the film.
He's co-producing with Bonnie Timmermann, with shooting to start next week in New York.
The film centers on a pair of female teenage assassins who discover that their latest target isn't who they think he is.
Bledel is best known for her starring role as Rory Gilmore on WB's "Gilmore Girls." Her screen credits include both of the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" films and "The Conspirator."
