Actors join the 'Peeples'

Kerry Washington, Craig Robinson and David Alan Grier have joined the cast of the 34'th Street Films comedy "We the Peeples."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tina Gordon Chism ("Drumline") wrote the screenplay and will make her directorial debut.
The story follows a child psychologist (Robinson) who surprises his girlfriend (Washington) by showing up at her political family's annual reunion and finds out that they desperately need therapy.
34'th Street's Matt Moore is producing along with Tyler Perry Studios president Ozzie Areu, Paul Hall and Stephanie Allain.
Lionsgate will distribute, with shooting set to begin in Connecticut in November.
Washington recently starred in "Night Catches Us," "Mother and Child" and "Lakeview Terrace." She also stars in the upcoming Tyler Perry adaptation of "For Colored Girls," which opens in November.
Robinson recently appeared in "Hot Tub Time Machine," "The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard" and "Zack and Miri Make a Porno."
Grier was recently seen in "Astro Boy," "Dance Flick" and "An American Carol."
