Hendricks going for a 'Drive'

Christina Hendricks has joined the cast of the independent action film "Drive."
According to Variety, Nicolas Winding Refn is directing a cast that includes Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Albert Brooks, Bryan Cranston and Oscar Isaacs.
Hossein Amini wrote the adaptation of James Sallis' crime novel of the same name.
The story revolves around a Hollywood stunt driver (Gosling) who moonlights as a robbery getaway driver. After a botched robbery, he finds himself on the run with an ex-con’s girlfriend (Mulligan) in his car.
Marc Platt is producing with Gigi Pritzker, Michel Litvak and Adam Siegel.
Shooting begins September 25 in L.A.
Hendricks is best known for her role as Joan Holloway in AMC's award-winning "Mad Men." She will appear in the upcoming romantic comedy "Life As We Know It," opposite Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel.
