Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper to buddy up

Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper are attached to star in an untitled action-comedy written by Sheldon Turner.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, no director or studio is attached yet.
The story follows two San Francisco cops (Reynolds and Cooper), whose fathers were also partners on the police force. The fathers are forced out of retirement to help their sons solve a case.
Neal Moritz, Andrew Panay and Reynolds’ Dark Trick Films producing partner Jonathon Komack Martin are producing along with J.C. Spink and Chris Bender.
Reynolds most recently starred in "Paper Man," "The Proposal" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." He next stars in the Lionsgate thriller "Buried," which opens next month.
Cooper last starred in "The A-Team," "Valentine’s Day" and "The Hangover." He will next star in the Rogue Pictures thriller "The Dark Fields," which opens in January.
Turner wrote the screenplays for "Up in the Air," "The Longest Yard" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning." He is currently casting his directorial debut, "By Virtue Fall."
