New trailer for Stephen Frears 'Tamara Drewe'

Based on Posy Simmonds¡¯ beloved graphic novel of the same name (which was itself inspired by Thomas Hardy¡¯s classic Far From the Madding Crowd) this wittily modern take on the romantic English pastorale is a far cry from Hardy¡¯s Wessex. We have added the new movie trailer for Stephen Frears latest British comedy 'Tamara Drewe'. The Sony Pictures film stars Gemma Arterton, Dominic Cooper, Roger Allam, Luke Evans, Tamsin Greig and Bill Camp.

'Tamara Drewe' is released across the US from October 8th and the UK on September 10th.
A live-action feature adaptation of Posy Simmonds' acclaimed graphic novel "Tamara Drewe."
Gemma Arterton ("Quantum of Solace", "Clash of the Titans" and "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time") plays Drewe, a sexy flirt who returns to her small country village and stirs up dark passions among the locals.
Simmonds' novel, itself a collection of comic strips she first published in U.K. newspaper the Guardian, is a modern reimagining of Thomas Hardy's classic novel "Far From the Madding Crowd."
