By Adnan Tezer Aug 21, 2010, 2:04 GMT
J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production company are developing a thriller based on the teenage game of making out in the closet called "7 Minutes in Heaven."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the original idea comes from Jack Bender, who most recently directed the final episode of ABC’s "Lost." Bender will direct "7 Minutes."
Paramount, where Bad Robot is housed, will distribute.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it is known that the film will focus on two teenagers who make out in a closet and find all their friends are dead when they come back out.
No writer is attached yet.
Abrams’ next directing project is his collaboration with Steven Spielberg, "Super 8," which he will follow up with a "Star Trek" sequel. He is also producing "Mission: Impossible 4," which will open in December 2011.
Bender is in talks to direct Paramount's new Jack Ryan film project.
