Eve Hewson has booked a supporting role opposite Sean Penn and Frances McDormand in the independent thriller "This Must Be the Place."
According to Variety, Paolo Sorrentino is directing from a script he co-wrote with Umberto Contarello.
Story centers on an aging rock star (Penn) who becomes obsessed with finding his father’s executioner, an ex-Nazi war criminal who is a refugee in the U.S.
Hewson will play a punk rock fan who is friends with Penn's character.
Indigo Film's Nicola Giuliano and Lucky Red's Andrea Occhipinti are producing.
The film will begin shooting in Ireland and the United States later this month.
Newcomer Hewson’s sole film credit was in the 2008 drama "The 27 Club."
