Lively and Johansson battle for 'Gravity'

Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson are the finalists for the female lead in Warner Bros.’ space thriller "Gravity."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alfonso Cuaron is directing and co-wrote the script with his brother Jonas. Robert Downey Jr. is also attached to the project.
The movie's plot revolves around astronauts repairing the Hubble telescope who are hit with an avalanche of satellite debris. The surviving female astronaut must fight her way back to Earth and her daughter.
The project was originally set up at Universal for Angelina Jolie, but it moved to Warners, where she left the project, partly due to the studio's refusal to pay her $20 million fee.
Marion Cotillard, who stars in Warners' "Inception," had also tested for the lead role.
Lively will be seen in two upcoming Warner Bros. films; Ben Affleck's crime drama "The Town," and next year’s "Green Lantern."
Johansson was last seen opposite Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 2."
A decision is expected within the next two weeks.
