Skarsgård close to joining 'Tattoo'

Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård is in talks to join the cast of Sony’s "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," based on author Stieg Larsson’s best-selling trilogy.
According to Variety, David Fincher is directing from a Steven Zaillian script. Scott Rudin is producing.
The plot focuses on a disgraced financial journalist who teams up with a female computer hacker to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a woman 40 years prior.
Skarsgård would play Martin Vanger, one of the principal suspects in the 40-year-old case.
Daniel Craig has been cast as the disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist. The role of computer hacker Lisbeth Salander has not been cast yet.
Skarsgård is currently shooting Lars von Trier's sci-fi film "Melancholia."
Sony has "Tattoo" scheduled for a December 21, 2011 release.
