'Inception' kicks competition for third straight weekend

Warner Bros.' thriller "Inception" won the domestic box office for the third consecutive weekend with $27.5 million.
According to Variety, the domestic cumulative for the film stands at $193.3 million.
"Inception" is the summer's fifth highest domestic grosser, behind "Toy Story 3" ($389.7 million), "Iron Man 2" ($311.4 million), "Eclipse" ($288.2 million) and "Shrek Forever After" ($235.6 million).
Paramount’s comedy "Dinner for Schmucks," starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, opened at No. 2 with $23.3 million.
Sony’s "Salt" claimed the No. 3 spot with $19.3 million for a domestic cumulative of $70.8 million.
Universal’s 3D cartoon "Despicable Me" finished at No. 4 with $15.5 million for a domestic cumulative of $190.3 million.
Warner's 3D sequel "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore" debuted in the No. 5 spot with $12.5 million.
