Hoeber brothers want to jump off a 'Ledge'
By Adnan Tezer Jul 29, 2010, 2:46 GMT
Writers Erich and Jon Hoeber are in talks to rewrite Summit's heist film "Man on a Ledge."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Asger Leth is in talks to direct the film. Sam Worthington is attached to star with Lorenzo di Bonaventura producing.
The story involves an ex-cop-turned-con who threatens to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. A female NYPD psychologist tries to talk him down but, unbeknownst to the police, the suicide attempt is a diversion for a diamond heist.
Summit is pushing for a fall production start before losing Worthington to the "Clash of the Titans" sequel.
The Hoeber brothers are hot off of scripting the upcoming assassin thriller "Red," starring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman.
The brothers also wrote the script for Universal’s "Battleship," which Peter Berg is directing and will open May 25, 2012.
