Efron feeling 'Lucky'
By Adnan Tezer Jul 28, 2010, 1:41 GMT
Zac Efron is in talks to star in Warner Bros.' "The Lucky One," based on the Nicholas Sparks novel.
According to Variety, Scott Hicks will direct from an adapted script by Will Fetters.
The film revolves around a Marine who survives three tours in Iraq and attributes his luck to a photograph he carried of a woman he has never met. He seeks her out when he returns home to North Carolina.
Denise Di Novi and Kevin McCormick will produce. Di Novi has produced three other Sparks adaptations ("Nights in Rodanthe," "A Walk to Remember," "Message in a Bottle") for Warner Bros.
Efron signed a production deal earlier this year with Warner Bros., but isn't attached as a producer on the film.
He appears in Universal's "Charlie St. Cloud," which opens this Friday.
