'Inception' licks 'Salt' over the weekend

Warner Bros.' sci-fi thriller "Inception," directed by Christopher Nolan, won the weekend box office for a second consecutive week with $43.5 million.
According to Variety, the Leonardo DiCaprio-starrer has a domestic cumulative of $143.7 million.
"Inception" was able to beat out Sony's Angelina Jolie action thriller "Salt," which opened at the No. 2 spot with $36.5 million.
Universal's "Despicable Me" finished No. 3 with $24.1 million for a domestic cumulative of $161.7 million.
Disney's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" came in at No. 4 with $9.6 million for a domestic cumulative of $42.6 million.
Disney’s "Toy Story 3" finished No. 5 with $9 million for a domestic cumulative of $379.5 million.
