Chris Pratt is ready to suit up for Columbia Pictures’ "Moneyball."
Brad Pitt, Robin Wright, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Stephen Bishop and Kathryn Morris have already been cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bennett Miller is directing from a script by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin.
Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca and Rachel Horovitz are producing.
The film is based on the bestselling Michael Lewis book about Billy Beane (Pitt), the former baseball player who found success as the Oakland A’s general manager fielding competitive teams for low cost.
Pratt will play baseball player Scott Hatteberg, whose career as a catcher for the Boston Red Sox appeared over after he ruptured a nerve in his elbow. He would go on to play for the A’s and help lead them to the playoffs in 2002 and 2003 as a designated hitter.
Pratt can be currently seen on NBC’s "Parks and Recreation." He has appeared in the films "Wanted," "Bride Wars" and "Jennifer’s Body."
