Seyfried is 'Mortal'

Amanda Seyfried is in talks to star in New Regency's sci-fi action thriller "I'm.mortal."
According to Variety, Andrew Niccol is directing from his own screenplay.
Eric Newman and Marc Abraham are producing through their Strike Entertainment production company. Twentieth Century Fox will distribute the film.
The story is set in a future where the aging gene turns off at age 25. Time, which one must buy in order to live after that, has become the new currency and the way people get ahead. The wealthy live forever, while the rest of the population negotiates for their life.
A poor young man is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time and goes on the run with a beautiful, rich hostage (Seyfried). He is pursued by a corrupt police force known as "time keepers."
The male lead has not been cast yet.
Seyfried is currently shooting Warner Bros.' upcoming "Red Riding Hood." She was last seen in "Letters to Juliet" and "Dear John."
Niccol’s films as a writer-director include "Gattaca," "S1mOne" and "Lord of War."
