Marlo Thomas joins 'LOL'

Marlo Thomas has been cast in Mandate's English-language remake of the French comedy "LOL: Laughing Out Loud."
According to Variety, the cast includes Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore, Ashley Greene, Thomas Jane, Ashley Hinshaw, Lina Esco, George Finn and Douglas Booth.
Thomas will play the mother of Demi Moore’s character and grandmother of Miley Cyrus’s character.
Liza Azuelos, who directed the 2008 original, is directing the remake produced by Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher.
The story centers on a teenage girl (Cyrus) who is dumped by her older boyfriend (Finn) while her divorced mother (Moore) struggles to move on with her life.
