Fishburne looking at 'Contagion'

Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast of Steven Soderbergh's ensemble thriller "Contagion."
According to Variety, he joins a cast that includes Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet.
Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Double Feature Films are producing. Warner Bros. will open the film on October 21, 2011.
Scott Z. Burns wrote the script, which will revolve around the threat posed by a deadly virus, with multiple plotlines similar to Soderbergh's "Traffic."
Fishburne will balance his work on "Contagion" with his commitments as the lead on the CBS hit show "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." Fishburne was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 1994 for his role as Ike Turner in "What's Love Got to Do with It."
